Major housing plan for derelict land edges closer

Council land could be handed over to a housing association to spark a major multi-millionpound revamp in Glasgow.

Four areas, totalling almost 25 acres, will be given to Queens Cross Housing Association (QCHA) at at Hamiltonhill if councillors can agree to the move tomorrow.

The transfer would be a catalyst for £8 million of investment in the area which includes 600 new homes.
