Beaton back in charge of Celtic

Referee John Beaton is to take charge of his first Celtic match since the controversial Ibrox clash with Rangers after he was handed the potential titleclinching game against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday.

Rangers won the derby 1-0 on 29 December but Beaton was criticised over a series of decisions, with the Parkhead club issuing an angry statement.

Celtic highlighted three incidents involving Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos. No action was taken against the striker and an SFA summit on refereeing standards followed.
