Queen of the South Destiny in our hands
Despite our meek submission to Ross County on Friday, the following day’s results worked in our favour to leave our destiny in our own hands. So after eight months and 35 matches our entire season boils down to 90 minutes against Partick Thistle. The picture is relatively clear; if we win, we are safe and could finish as high as sixth. Any other outcome will leave us relying on Alloa not bettering our result. If they do, then we will slip into the relegation play-off.
Only a defeat and a nine-goal swing in Falkirk’s favour would see us automatically relegated. Unlikely, but not something you take for granted after a season like this one. It could be an uncomfortable afternoon in store for the Palmerston faithful.
