Whisky galoots

The Scottish whisky industry is very productive and an important quality export product for the Scottish economy,

bringing in £5.5 billion and employing some 42,000 workers. It is therefore very important the SNP, with its misguided minimum pricing of alcohol policy, does not throw the baby out with the bathwater and increase minimum pricing even higher, causing further damage. The way to tackle the abuse of alcohol in Scotland is by education and social awareness programmes, not by prohibition, which has a history of failure.
