ENTERTAINM­ENT The All New Monty: Who Bares Wins/ Ladies Night

Male and female celebs prepare to get their kit off in these ITV specials which aim to raise awareness of prostate, testicular and breast cancers.

Among the men taking part are Love Island winner Jack Fincham, ex snooker player Willie Thorne and former Chelsea footballer Jason Cundy, while the women include tennis superstar Martina Navratilov­a, Love Island’s Megan Barton Hanson and Eastenders actor Laurie Brett. Each programme will follow the trials and tribulatio­ns of preparing for their respective shows, reveal how cancer has touched their lives and show how people can check themselves for signs of the disease.

DOCUMENTAR­Y Our Dementia Choir With Vicky Mcclure

In the concluding episode Vicky Mcclure continues on her journey to discover the true extent of music’s power in combating dementia.

Working with some of the country’s leading experts, Vicky and the choir take part in a series of scientific experiment­s. Research has suggested that when people with dementia listen to music the communicat­ion pathways in their brains that are damaged can function as normal. So four willing volunteers are scanned, to see how music affects their brains. Ahead of the final show, the choir come together, try to keep the nerves at bay and put on the performanc­e of their lives.

Get set for a nerve- shredding final 90 minute episode of the police corruption drama. With Ted Hastings ( Adrian Dunbar) holed up in a cell charged with being an accessory to murder by Detective Chief Superinten­dent Patricia Carmichael ( the wonderful Anna Maxwell Martin), Kate Fleming and Steve Arnott ( Vicky Mcclure and Martin Compston) are caught between loyalty to their boss and the incriminat­ing evidence stacking up against him.

Planet Child

In this week’s episode of the sciencebas­ed show which looks at the way in which children experience life across Britain and the world today, twin doctors Chris and Xand van Tulleken set out to explore how we develop a sense of right and wrong and what makes one child well behaved and another naughty.

We meet seven- year- old Uuakhuihe, part of the Namibian Himba tribe, where children learn to toe the line from an early age while the van Tullekens bring a group of British under sevens to London’s Covent Garden to complete a series of temptation tests.

Coming seemingly out of nowhere in 2008 with her debut album 19, Adele Laurie Blue Adkins became a global superstar selling millions of records. But how did this girl from North London come to rule the world and what are the secrets of her success?

This documentar­y takes a look at Adele’s life and career to date and features some of her most memorable performanc­es.

Earth From Space

The final episode of the series shows, in incredible detail, how cities grow, forests disappear and glaciers melt. Eye- catching footage includes a female orangutan and her daughter facing life in a forest under threat in Sumatra, while in Tanzania local people use satellites to replant a forest, securing the future for a family of chimpanzee­s. ■
