Centrica plea over care responsibility

Energy giant Centrica, the owner of Scottish Gas, is joining call son the UK government to introduce mandatory paid leave for workers who also have caring responsibilities.

Boss Iain Conn has written to the chief executives of the UK’ s 100 largest employers to encourage more support for carers. The firm is to give employees more paid leave.
