Nicky Richards returns to the scene of his thrilling Coral Scottish Grand National win today when he saddles three runners at Ayr’s May raceday where £60,000 prizemoney is up for grabs.

Ruby two represents the stable in the Like Racing TV On Facebook Handicap Hurdle over2m4f with up-andcoming conditional jockey Danny Mcmenamin taking the mount. Mcmenamin also rides Richards’ Court Dreaming in the Watch Racing TV Now Handicap Hurdle.

The feature contest of the day is the Join Racing TV Now Handicap Chase over 2m 4f and, in this, Richards, pictured – who won the Scottish National with Takingrisks – sends out Blakerigg, who won over course and distance last November.

Although Pembrokeshire - based trainer Peter Bowen sends Dr Robin on an 800-mile round trip to take on Blakerigg, Richards’ charge can take the prize.

The final race on the card is the Celebrate At The Western House Hotel Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race over two miles, where Stuart Crawford, who has a good record in this type of race, introduces Streets of Doyen and Largy Mouth.

Elsewhere today, Moon King can followup a recent course success in the

Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap at Wetherby, writes Glendale. Ralph Beck et t’ s three-year-old gelding relished the step up in distance to a mile and three-quarters when storming home by four lengths recently. A 6lb penalty is unlikely to stop him repeating that display today.

M ans hood shaped well in two races last month after a 104-day break and should now be spot on to score for the Paul Midgley stable in the racingtv.com Handicap. Cappanant y Con can take advantage of returning to the minimum distance and resume winning ways in the Hellmanntyton/electric Centre Handicap at Wolverhampton. The five-year-old, trained by Charlie Wallis, led close home to score by a head over this trip in mid-April – and then lost all chance by being awkward at the start when beaten over six furlongs last time out.

As long as he gets away on terms, Cappananty Con can make amends.

Badenscoth is on a hat-trick after two wins over nine-anda-half furlongs on this course and can keep up the good work for Dean Ivory in the Hellermann Tyton/Starrett Handicap.

The five-year-old has gone up a total of 13 lb for those two victories but has not been extended in either race.

Unforgiving Minute is back in the class in which he is most effective and can strike for trainer John Butler in the Hotel & Conferencing At Wolverhampton Racecourse Claiming Stakes.
