Man released after arrest over murder attempt

A man has been arrested as part of an attempted murder investigation in Edinburgh.

The incident happened at about 5:30pm on 13 March at a property in Pitcairn Grove in the south-west of the city. It involved the alleged attempted murder of a 48-year-old and an alleged serious assault on a 22-year-old man, who tried to intervene.

Police have released the arrested man while inquiries continue.
