‘Disappointing’ report card for Bathgate school

A report card issued for a West Lothian school has demanded better consistency after a visit by inspectors.

Education Scotland inspectors (HMI) visited Bathgate Academy in January. Their report detailed disappointing figures in maths and English compared to other high schools in the area. Local councillor Charles Kennedy said: “We seem to be performing way below both authority and national levels.”
