Doolan’s decade-long stay over

Partick Thistle paid tribute to Kris Dool an yesterday after it was announced the 33- year-old striker would be leaving the Jags after ten years, more than 400 games and 121 goals.

Doolan joined the Firhill club from junior outfit Auchinleck Talbot in January 2009 and went onto become their fourth highest goalscorer ever. He has left the club at the end of his testimonia­l season after his contract expired

Thistle chairman J acqui Low said: “Kris is, and always will be, a legend at Partick Thistle. Legend is an overused word but he has earned that title. The service he has given to the club both on and off the pitch is almost unmatched.”

Jags manager Gary Caldwell said :“The contributi­on he has made to Partick Thistle will likely never again be matched and his achieve - ments speak for themselves.”
