Fes­ti­val to get first show­ing of Toy Story 4

A s p e c i a l p r e - r e l e a s e screen­ing of Toy Story 4 has been an­nounced by t he Ed­in­burgh I nternation­al Film Fes­ti­val ( EIFF).

The next in­stal­ment of t he Dis­ney Pixar se­ries of an­i­mated films will be shown in the city’s Fes­ti­val Theatre on Sun­day 16 June - five days ahead of the movie be­ing re­leased in UK cinemas and three days be­fore the fes­ti­val of­fi­cially opens.

The new film ap­pears to mir­ror the sto­ry­line of the first, where Woody, voiced by Tom Hanks, must con­tend with the ar­rival of a trou­ble­some new toy.

EI FF ar t i s t i c di r e c t or Mark Adams said: “Welove our long- stand­ing re­la­tion­ship with Dis­ney and Pixar, so it is a real thrill that we can show this an­i­mated de­light to film fans. The ar­rival of a new Toy Story film re­ally is some­thing to cel­e­brate.”
