Jobs at risk in leisure service restructur­e

West Lothian Leisure is to enter consultati­on with its staff over plans to restructur­e.

The company, which provides sport, leisure, outdoor education and cultural facilities from 20 sites across the region, and employs 510 staff, said jobs would go and opening hours would be reduced.

The move is part of a three-year plan dev eloped to respond to a combinatio­n of external forces, including increasing employment and operationa­l costs, increased competitio­n from budget operators, and significan­t cuts to its funding.
