If you’re a brunch fan who fan­cies some­thing a bit more in­ven­tive than avo on toast, get along to Glas­gow’s So L. A. It’s just launched its Cali Brunch, which is avail­able on Satur­days

( 12- 4pm) and Sun­days ( 11am- 4pm). Among other things, there will be French toast ( pic­tured, £ 9) topped with fruit, flow­ers, flam­ing crème brûlée and Hen­nessey maple syrup, a crois­sant burger stuffed with mac ‘ n’ cheese, streaky ba­con and poached egg (£ 10), a share­able “steak and eggs 90210” fea­tur­ing chateaubri­and (£ 60) and an eggs Bene­dict (£ 12), with soft shell crab and sweet­corn along­side the usual muffins and hol­landaise.
