someone’s suffering in the future.

Brian Jones Quite surprised such apparently ‘with it’ people are still promoting cremation as a means of disposal. Not too keen on the idea of going up in flames, and isn’t it supposed to be not so good for the atmosphere? Prefer the idea of cryomation/ promession myself (freeze dried and vibrated), and hope it’s locally available when my time comes.

Toosh Yes, direct cremations at approx £900 a pop already in business in the USA. There is at least one in Fife. I would have liked to build a cardboard box, stick my body in it with a heavy weight and prepay a local fisherman to take me out to the middle of the Forth and dump my body overboard. But there were cries of: 1. It’s not legal (but cheaper ); 2. From environmentalists – ‘No, you don’t!’, 3. From Police Scotland – ‘We will prosecute’ – who? my dead body?

duncan lucas I haven’t held a meeting to vote on it, but unless you are radioactive due to cancer treatment then I will happily drop your body off in a boat in the Forth.

Innes Hi bud , I’d love for you to bury me at sea. As long as you dig the grave!
