It is set to be a largely dry and settled day with some sunny spells through the day, and then some uninterrupted sunshine during the evening. There will be some high cloud which could make it hazy from time to time. Breezy.

The morning will be dry for most, although the Orkney and Shetland Isles will have some light drizzle. While the morning will be cloudy in northern areas, this cloud will head east over the day, leaving most of Scotland with sun.

Western Isles, North-west Highlands, Skye, Glen Mor, Argyll:

Dry with prolonged periods of sunshine and little in the way of cloud. Generally fine during the evening as well. A brisk southerly wind. Max temp 15-18C (59-64F). Tonight, clear skies. Min temp 6-9 C (43-48 F ).

The Borders, the Lothians including Perth and Stirling areas, Fife, Angus including Dundee:

Once any early local mist patches have cleared, it will be dry with some patchy cloud, but also with plenty of sunshine. A moderate south-westerly wind. Max temp 18-21C (64-70F). Tonight, clear spells. Min temp 5-8C (41-46F).
