SCOTT BAIN

7 The Celtic goalkeeper did not look too clever for James Tavernier ’s early goal – a whipped delivery direct from a free-kick – but made a good save from Jermain Defoe at 2-0.

MIKAEL LUSTIG

5 Steady and experienced defender over the years, but did little of note before he was injured and replaced by Jeremy Toljan for the start of the second half.

JOZO SIMUNOVIC

6 Has been solid since returning to the side and has even popped up with a couple of goals. Steady enough game but couldn’t lead Celtic to victory this time.

KRISTOFFER AJER

6 One of Celtic’s best players this season. However, still prone to the occasional lapse and wasn’t able to dictate play from the back in the manner he would have wanted.

JONNY HAYES

6 Took over at left-back from Kieran Tierney. Mixed bag of an afternoon for the Irishman. He was always busy and willing to go forward but his final ball lacked quality.

CALLUM MCGREGOR

6 Another fine season for the Scotland midfielder who is now one of Celtic’s key players. Not his greatest performance on a day when things just didn’t run for the midfielder.

SCOTT BROWN

7 The Celtic skipper had a decent afternoon in and out of possession. Always an outlet for the visitors but he didn’t control this Old Firm match like he has done in the past.

TOM ROGIC

5 The Australia international was all but anonymous. Not as influential as Neil Lennon would have wanted and no surprise when he was hooked in the second half.

ODSONNE EDOUARD

5 The 21-year-old French striker travelled to Ibrox with a good Old Firm record of four goals in five games against Rangers but was way off the pace yesterday.

MIKEY JOHNSTON

5 The youngster started and disappointed in the Old Firm game in December. Given another chance in Govan but was poor again before being taken off just after the hour.

OLIVER BURKE

5 The on-loan attacker from West Brom was given a rare start as partner to Edouard. Should have scored with a late chance and again failed to live up to the hype.
