Burning injustice: Sudanese protestors continue push to for civilian rule
Sudanese pro testers burn tyres as they block Nile Street for the second consecutive day during continuing protests in Sudan’s capital Khartoum.
While angry demonstrators blocked the major avenue along the Nile river, Sudan’s army rulers and protest leaders resumed crucial talks over handing power to a civilian administration after a deadlock in negotiations.
The much-awaited discussions came with crowds of protesters still camped outside the army headquarters in central Khartoum, vowing to force the ruling military council to cede power in the same way they drove longtime leader Omar al-bashir from office. Al-bashir was imprisoned in the capital days after the military removed him from power.
