Love for tiny little trees: Gardener carefully tends ancient bonsai in Hong Kong park
A gardener carefully tends to the ancient bonsai trees at Nan Lian Gardens in the Kowloon district of Hong Kong.
The gardens cut through high-rise apartments in a public park built in the style of the Tang dynasty. The scenic garden is meticulously landscaped over an area of 3.5 hectares, in which every hill, rock, body of water, plant and timber structure has been placed according to specific rules and methods. There are permanent exhibitions of Chinese timber architecture, rocks and potted plants, as well as a vegetarian reatuarant and tea house for the visitors who flock there every year.
