Cala gets all charged up at Edinburgh development

-

A luxury property development in Edinburgh is flaunting its green credentials with vehicle charging provision on offer for every resident.

Cala Homes claimed it was creating the most comprehensive charging provision of any development built to date in Scotland at The Crescent at Donaldson’s in the city’s west end.

All 84 apartments will be served by an electric vehicle (E V) fast charger, with the infrastructure built into the underground parking. Prop - erties at The Crescent range from £950,000 to £1,925,000.

The EV provision is a result of a tie-up with charge point installer Jorro.

David Pickles, the firm’s MD, said: “It is brilliant for a developer to have the foresight to include this level of EV pro - vision. The great thing is that the chargers are there, in place and ready to go. All buyers need to do is add the relevant plug unit, due to different car brands choosing varying solutions. Any costs therefore will be negligible.”
