Survivor ‘nose to nose’ with attacker

-

A survivor has described his “personal mission” to get help after he came “nose to nose” with one of the London Bridge terrorists.

Richard Livett had been out watching football when he was caught up in scenes of “chaos” on 3 June 2017.

Mr Livett told an inquest into the deaths of the eight victims how he first thought he was witnessing a road accident when he dived out of the way of the attackers’ hire van. A knifeman he believes was Khuram Butt was “nose to nose” in his face shouting “Allahu Akbar”.
