Feline fine: Cat brooch to go under the hammer

Lyon & Turnbull gallery manager Arianna Pedrazzoli poses with a multi-gem set cat novelty brooch which will be auctioned in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 5 June. The textured ground set includes two marquise cut emeralds, a ruby cabochon and eight small diamonds, with the bow motif suspending two box link pendants with ball terminals.

It is amongst jewellery featuring in the Style & Splendour: Fashion Photography and Jewellery of the 1950s and 60s exhibition at the auctioneers in Bath Street, Glasgow, until Friday, 24 May.
