Training package: Amazon funds courses to upskill staff in sought-after sectors
Amazon is celebrating National Learning at Work Week by urging its staff in Scotland to sign up for a programme that offers funded training. Under the Career Choice scheme, the tech giant pre-pays 95 per cent of tuition and associated fees – up to £8,000 over four years – for employees to complete training in high-demand fields such as engineering, IT, mechanical and electrical trades, and transportation. Scot Mckeen, pictured, who works at Amazon in Dunfermline, qualified as a heavy goods vehicle driver this week after participating in the programme.
