Call for tunnel linking Queen Street to Central
A Glasgow councillor is urging representatives to back plans to develop an underground tunnel which would connect the city’ s Queen Street and Central Stations.
Councillor Martin Bartos, of the Green party, believes the Connectivity Commission’ s preferred plan to link the two train stations would have social and economic benefits as well as reduce the city’s carbon footprint.
The commission has confirmed it needs to invest £10 billion in public transport.
The proposal would prevent commuters relying on congested roads.
