Absconder found after week-long hunt

Am an who absconded from the Morningside area of Edinburgh was arrested in Stranraer yesterday.

Andrew Waddell, 31, was last seen shortly after 3pm on Wednesday, 8 May, in Colinton Road, Edinburgh. He was found after“extensive work” to trace him, police said.

He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today. Detectives said they would like to thank all those who assisted with the inquiry.
