Beautiful homes benefit from no heating bills
Afour-year project, aimed at bringing together the latest in environmental design with stunning architecture, is nearing completion in South Lanarkshire.
Three detached Passivhaus energy-efficient properties, bordering Chatelherault Country Park, near Hamilton, have been designed to blend into the rural environment and
finished with slate, zinc and Siberian larch cladding.
The interiors have kitchens and bathrooms use Porcelanosa and Ashley Ann products and bespoke acoustic floorboards will be fitted throughout.
The Passivhaus philosophy combines insulation technology with innovative methods of recycling warm air to make homes effectively self-heating.
Denise Bryson, a director of developer Avongreen Abodes, says: “We began the project four years ago working closing with our architect, Paper Igloo Architecture and Design, to create something very special. It has been a real labour of love.
“The team has worked so hard and it is extremely rewarding for us to see these stunning, innovative homes come to fruition.”
