Carson follows Doran’s lead

David Carson is ready to b eat a track from Blackburn Rovers’ rejection to Highland care err es urrection – just like Aaron Doran.

The former Ewood Park under-23 captain yesterday signed a two-year deal with Caley Thistle.

He spent last season, after release by Blackburn, helping to fire local team Morpeth Town to division one east title glory in England’s Northern Premier League.

Courted by Inverness, he discussed with Doran the prospect of making the transition from Blackburn to Inverness.

He said: “I spoke to Aaron who I knew was also at Blackburn earlier in his career. It’s good to realise he has come from the same kind of background as me, and how well he has done for the club.

“If I can continue that, and do what Aaron has done at the club, hopefully it will be successful.”
