#1922COMMITTEE

The executive of the influential group of backbench Tory MPS met Theresa May to thrash out a departure date for the Prime Minister. The PM, who did not set a date, was said to be emotional in the ‘frank’ meeting.” @tnewtondunn wrote: “The 1922 Committee executive blinks, and gives Theresa May two more weeks. She will set out a timetable to quit in early June, after the Withdrawal Agreement Bill.” @athomewaiting said: “For goodness sake, if they fall for this they are stupid. If she’s almost crying then she needs to go now. She’s reached the end. But no, the spineless Graham Brady is fooled again.”

#THEVIRTUES

Actor Stephen Graham, fresh from a stunning turn in Line of Duty, has been praised for his appearance in Shane Meadows’ new drama series.

@louseagraves tweeted: “I’m a mess and it’s only the first episode. Count down for next week starts. Stephen Graham gritty and so emotive, as always.”

@stephens_ben wrote: “15 mins into The Virtues and I already care about all these characters more than I care about anyone on Game of Thrones.”

@denofgeek added: “Stephen Graham gives a career-best performance in Shane Meadow’s new C4 drama The Virtues.”
