Britons face Syria enclave ban
British nationals could be banned from travelling to the last remaining rebel enclave in Syria under new counterterror laws, Home Secretary Sajid Javid is expected to warn today.
In a speech to senior security figures, Mr Javid was expected to say he is considering whether Britons should be prevented from seeking to enter Idlib in north-west Syria.
The Counter-terrorism and Border Security Act allows the Home Secretary to bar UK citizens from areas to protect the public from terrorism.
