Police inquiry after ‘suspicious’ death of man
Detectives are treating the death of a 23-year-old man in Lanarkshire as suspicious.
Officers were called to a disturbance in Holytown’s Quarry Street at about 5.50am yesterday.
It is understood the man was found injured and taken to hospital but later died.
A Police Scotland spoke swoman said :“A 26- yearold man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Inquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances of the incident. Police are treating the death as suspicious.
