Arrest after man ‘shot with crossbow’

A man was rushed to hospital after he was allegedly shot with a crossbow in Bathgate.

Armed police were called to Rendezvous Place after the alarm was raised at around 6.20pm on Friday.

A 46-year- old man was taken to St John’s Hospital in Livingston and treated for minor injuries.

Another man, aged 30, was arrested in connection with the alleged incident and is expected to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court.
