Fox’s fish supper: Image of scavenger stealing frozen fish among photo award highlights

This stunning image by Laszlo Maraczi of a fox stealing a frozen fish in Hungary was among those highly commended by judges in the Natural World competition run by the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Pho - tographers. The winning shot was a dramatic image of a gazelle charging over the edge of a sand dune in the Namib desert, taken from a helicop - ter by American Buddy Eleazer, which beat hundreds of others to the top place. British photographers Kutub Uddin and Andy Howe came second and third in the contest, with their images of a dragonfly and a baby gorilla.
