Man jailed for life over murder outside bar

A man has been sentenced to a minimum of 17 years b ehind bars after plead - ing guilty to the murder of Dominic Brown in Clydebank.

D a n i e l D e v l i n , 4 7 , a t t a c k e d M r B r o w n , 3 1 , with a knife after a fight broke out in Radnor Street on August 5 last year.

At the High Court in Glasgow yesterday, Devlin was sentenced to life imprisonme­nt with a 17-year minimum term after his guilty plea.

Detective Chief Inspector Grant Macleod said: “This was a tragic case where a man has lost his life and a n o t h e r wi l l n ow f a c e a number of years in prison following a violent fight outside a pub.

“H a d D a n i e l D e v l i n n o t d e c i d e d t o u s e a knife that night then the o u t c o m e c o u l d h a v e been ver y different for all involved.”
