New Tory story?

-

Now is a good time to critique the state of Conservatism in Scotland. The small revival the Conservatives have enjoyed in Scotland in recent years looks set to be destroyed by Brex - it, Boris Johnson and their embarrassing lack of ideas.

The failure of the vacuous Ruth Davidson to provide policy will lead to elect oral defeat. The lazy leaf let I received from her to promote the European elections is embarrassing. Their complete policy portfolio can be summed up in two words:

“SN P BAD ”. They richly deserve to lose their only MEP in Scotland, let’s hope they do.

There is only one way for a right-wing party in Scotland to prosper and that is for it to be an independent party. Slavishly following the London dictate of incompetents like Theresa May and Boris Johnson is damaging. Dav - idson must stand aside and allow someone with ideas to run a new Scottish Tory party. Murdo Fraser is the only one of stature to utter anything approaching a vision of the future.

The Tories have sprinted up a blind anti-scottish alley; they need policies to enhance business opportunities in Scotland. Are they capable of change? Only time will tell.

I’ m surprised to read the negativity behind the Conservatives’ EU election campaign – many MPS believe they have been defeated before the polls have even opened.

I agree with Ruth Davidson’s advice to party activists not to “shirk” but instead take the fight to the SNP. The negativity doesn’t help the party or the campaign. The polls are bad but it do es not mean it’s the final result – the party should focus on being different to the B rex it Party instead of mimicking them.

It’ s easy for the Conservatives to feel disheartened by the dire polls but it should instead motivate them to get out on the doorsteps to fight for votes.
