Ex-library Potter book up for sale

A first edition Harry Potter book is set to sell for around £30,000 at auction, despite signs of wear and tear.

The copy of JKR owl in g’ s Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone is a first edition, first printing and one of only 500 of its kind.

The book is open to bids on the Forum Auctions website with a guide price of £20 -30,000, having been left by a collector.

“We’re expecting it to do well at that price,” Max Hasler, a modern first editions specialist at Forum Auctions, said.
