TV chef Jamie Oliver ’s restaurant chain Jamie’s Italian has appointed administrators, putting more than 1,300 jobs at risk. Scotland hosts two of the restaurants – one in Edinburgh and the other in Glasgow – and both are set to close.
@Jmoreea said: “That’s a shame. Hope those who lose their jobs find something soon.”
@lorrainepblyth wrote: “Sad for all the staff and all the suppliers as they will suffer the most, but to be honest only ever visited 1 of his gaffs once. Thought it was overpriced and not particularly great food.”
@SHELLBELS tweeted: “Never rated his restaurants at all but sad for the people who are left without jobs.”
@Dforryan added: “His restaurants always seemed nice enough to me. Can’t believe the amount of people having a go at him for trying to make kids meals healthier though.”
@Maccamcleod88 said: “I get the feeling people are directing their energies towards the wrong cause. Jamie will probably be okay; what about the potential lost jobs?”

#AVBCELTIC
Odds on former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Andre Villas-boas to become the next manager of Celtic have reduced dramatically over the past few days, to the point where the Portuguese coach is now the favourite with several bookmakers. Reaction among Celtic fans was mixed.
@bhoygreen1 wrote: “The bookies are having a field day fgs. Who will be odds on favourite tomorrow HH.”
@Johnclarksnp said: “I’d rather Neil Lennon wasn’t appointed permanent Celtic manager. However, to date, there hasn’t been a single credible name suggested who I would prefer over keeping Neil.”
@Tonymckelvie added: “I see #AVB has jumped to the top of the bookies’ list for the Celtic job. A curious thing about AVB: In 10 years as a manager, he has NEVER completed a second season with the same club. As flowering careers go, he’s the half-hardy annual of the management game.”
@thesackrace tweeted: “It’s remarkable to think that the man who took charge of Chelsea at 33 has already managed six clubs at the age of 41.”
