Man held over graffiti at mosque

A man has been arrested after offensive graffiti was sprayed on a mosque in Moray.

The vandalism at Elgin Mosque happened at around 11pm on Monday and included a swastika being painted on to the building.

Police Scotland, who earlier issued an appeal for information, said a 42-year- old man has been arrested.

In a statement, the force said: “Thank you to those who have assisted with our investigation so far.”
