Elementary, my dear Viktor: Composer and violinist celebrate Conan Doyle’s birthday

St Mary’ s Music Schoolviolin pupil Viktor Seifert, age 12, performs on a specially created ‘Sherlock violin’, alongside American musician Daniel Safford to celebrate 160 years since the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The violin was made ten years ago by local violin maker and environmentalist Steve Burnett out of wood from a tree that grew in the garden of the author’s Edinburgh childhood home.
