Board boost by Menzies as firm eyes expansion

Aviation services group John Menziesh as announced the appointmen­t of anon-executive director (NED) and the formation of two board committees.

The Edinburgh-based business has signed up Chris ti anKa pp elh offWulff as an NED, hailing his “capital allocation and strategic skills”. He is the founder and boss of Swissbased Lakestreet Capital Partners, and was previously a director of Goldsmith Capital Partners.

Menzies is now focused on aviation services, “operating in a structural growth market which offers great expansion opportunit­ies for the group”. It added that to capitalise on such potential, the board has constitute­d a strategic and a performanc­e management committee.

Chairman D er mot Smurfit said: “We continue to progress our plans to grow our business and remain focused on margin progressio­n.”

Menziess aid recently that it was closing in on naming its next chief executive after Forsy th Black left in March.
