Trio of deals for Bridge of Allan energy consultant­s

Responsibl­e PowerSyste ms, a Bridge of Allanbased energy consultant, has landed three new contracts with a hotel group.

The consultanc­y, which claims to be able to increase a hotel’s bottom-line profit by up to 25 per cent by reducing energy expenditur­e, has expanded its relationsh­ip with Macdonald Hotels & Resorts to include a trio of prop er ties at its Aviemore resort. It takes the total hotels and hospitalit­y assets in Responsibl­e Power’s portfolio to 32.

The business said it has cut Macdonald Hotels’ carbon footprint by 1,919 tons in the last 12 months, which is the equivalent to 408 passenger vehicles being taken off the road for one year.

Archie Stirling, founder and chief executive of Responsibl­e Power, said: “[General managers], operators and owners of hotels and assets in the hospitalit­y industry often overlook their energy profile, not realising that it is these con d-biggest operationa­l cost after payroll.

“We turn energy consumptio­n into a variable cost that can be monitored, managed and acted on.”
