Motherwell man named by police

A man who died in an altercation in North Lanarkshire on Sunday has been named by police.

Cameron Mcmillan was seriously injured during an altercation in Quarry Street, Motherwell, at about 5.05am.

Emergency services attended but he died at the scene.

A 21- year-old man was arrested in connection with the death and appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.

Officers are continuing to appeal for information surrounding the death.
