A teenage serial sex attacker who raped four victims and horrifically attacked a fifth with a razor blade has been jailed for six years.

Kyle Park, now 18, befriended one of the girls after going on day trips organised by a social work department, the High Court in Edinburgh heard.

The 13-year- old girl b egan to communicate with Park through the social media site Facebook and started to spend time with him.

But when she visited Park, whom she considered a friend, at his family home in Aberdeen in July 2017 he launched a sex attack on the child.

The court heard she sat on Park’s bed and chatted with him, but he then began to try to take her trousers off.

Advocate depute Richa rd Goddard QC said :“She told him to stop, resisted his attempts and attempted to hit the accused .” But Park pulled down her trousers and under wear. The prosecutor said :“The complain er told the accused to get off her and that she didn’t want him to do what he was doing to her. She said she would tell her mother. The accused took no notice.”

Park molested the girl and then raped her. After the attack, the girl got up and made to leave, but Park punched her in the ribs and told her she was not to inform anyone about what had happened.

Mr Goddard said: “Both the complainer and the accused attended day trips organised by the social work department. As a result, the accused came to know the complainer.”

Park had already raped two other teenage girls and would go on to subject a fourth victim to a further rape ordeal.

A judge told Park that he set out to “humiliate and degrade” victims and showed significant hostility to members of the opposite sex.

Lady Wise told him :“You present as high risk in terms of an assessment of likelihood of sexual re-offending.”

She said: “It is of particular concern tome that despite your young age you are already serving a period of detention in respect of other sexual offences.”

The judge said she would have sentenced Park to nine years for the latest offences, but for his plea of guilty that spared the young victims the further trauma of giving evidence. Park was placed on the sex offenders’ register.
