Lightning cuts power to 200 homes

Hundreds of homes were left without power after storms and lightning strikes.

About 200 homes were still without power in Aberdeen yesterday. Energy firm SEE said it was working to reconnect power. Two houses in Collieston, Aberdeenshire, were hit during the lightning storm, causing small fires. And in Dumfries and Galloway, firefighters were called out after lightning hit an overhead line.
