Two-goal Maccuish’s late winner sinks Kyles as Oban Camanachd retain cup

Andrew Maccuish scored twice as Oban Camanachd retained the Scottish Sea Farms Glasgow Celtic Society Cup following their 2-1 extratime win over Kyles Athletic at Taynuilt. Maccuish’s opener came after only 25 seconds but Roddy Macdonald levelled early in the second half. Maccuish got the winner a couple of minutes from time. Newtonmore beat Lovat 2-1 to reach the Artemis Macaulay Cup semi-finals with two-goal Iain Robinson cancelling out Marc Maclachlan’s counter.

Kingussie overcame Caberfeidh 4-3 after extra time to seal their semi spot. Savio Genini got the winner after earlier opening the scoring. Ruaridh Anderson and Liam Borthwick scored the others for the Kings whilst Ally Maclennan, Kevin Bartlett and Craig Morrison replied.

Connor Howe and Alan Macdonald scored as Inveraray boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 Mowi Premiershi­p win at Kinlochshi­el while Lochaber won 3-1 at Kilmallie. Bendelaney’sdoubleand­findlay Macdonald’s strike wiped out Liam Macdonald’s goal.

Mowi National Division leaders Fort William beat Beauly 7-0 with Lewis Morrison and Arran Macphee both grabbing hat-tricks. James Macpherson hit four as second-placed Glenurquha­rt won 5-0 at Strathglas­s.

Mark Bain’s hat-trick helped Glasgow Mid Argyll beat Skye 3-1 and Daniel Macmillan’s treble aided Oban Celtic’s 4-1 victory at Bute.
