- By CRAIG P STEWART

Hamilton Accies manager Brian Rice wants to see a side he recognises when his team take on Clyde in the Betfred Cup at Stenhousemuir’s Ochilview tonight.

Acci es lost a penalty shootout to Queen’s Park after a goal less draw on Saturday and, ahead of this evening’s clash, Rice said: “There was no spark in our play. We had played at pace in our friendlies, but we never looked like that at the weekend.

“We want to win this group and, while we have made it difficult, a win over Clyde kicks things off.”

Clyde boss Danny Lennon said: “Hamilton were frustrated by Queen’s Park and they will look to beat us to make up for that.”

St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin is pleased his side are facing Edinburgh City just three days after losing their opening game to Dunfermline. Goodwin said: “It was not the start I wanted as we lost poor goals, but we need to pick ourselves up. It is good to be going again so quickly but it won’t be easy as Edinburgh City have players who can hurt you.”

Dundee manager James Mcpake wants his side to get used to the winning feeling by adding to their 3-0 success at Raith Rover son Saturday by winning at Cove Rangers. Mcpake said: “We need to get into the habit of winning games. Winning is what is important to this club and we are trying to get that ingrained into the players.”

Albion Rovers and Pars manager Stevie Crawford is keen to keep the feelgood factor that was generated by their success in Paisley going by defeating the Coatbridge side. He said: “I was delighted with the win and the performance. We need to build on that by winning this game, espe - cially since it is at home.”

Stirling Albion boss Kevin Rutkiewiczh as challenged his players to prove they can deliver consistently when Arbroath come calling. The Binos drew 1-1 with Hibs at the weekend before losing out on penalties. Rutkiewicz said :“Arbroath will be a challenge so we will need outstanding performances again to get something.”
