Biden and Harris set for debate rematch
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will get a debate rematch in the second round of Democratic presidential primary debates, while Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren will share a stage to argue their progressive visions.
CNN randomly assigned 20 candidates to the two stages in a drawing that was broadcast live on Thursday night. The debates are being held over two nights, 30-31 July, in Detroit.
Former vice president Biden and California Senator Harris will face off less than a month after Harris used the first debates ahead of the 2020 presidential election to propel herself into the top tier of candidates with an aggressive take-down of 76-yearold Biden’s long record on race.
Sanders and Warren will appear on the first night of the debate programme along with Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, former Texas representative Beto O’rourke, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Montana Governor Steve Bullock.
