Shepherd and Wedderburn unveils series of promotions

Leigh Herd (contentious construction), Emma Guthrie (property and infrastructure), Katy Fitzpatrick (banking and finance), Nathaniel Buckingham (contentious construction), Andrew Winton (commercial disputes and regulation) and James Bulpitt (banking and finance) will assume their new roles tomorrow. Henderson is an English-law qualified litigator, whose hire strengthens CMS’S contentious offering in Scotland. He has spent more than 15 years in London, including with US firm Covington & Burling where he advised blue-chip clients on complex and high-value disputes, particularly in regulated sectors such as pharma and tech. Henderson joins from Stewarts, where he co-led its competition litigation team. Colin Hutton, litigation and arbitration partner at CMS, said: “We are delighted that Kenny is joining us to support the growth and development of our litigation and arbitration group. He is a skilled and highly respected litigator, with significant crosssectoral experience.”

His appointment sees former MD and founder Douglas Jeffrey assume the role of chairman. Evans has operated at director level for the past 15 years, during which he has held positions with HP and, most recently, Apple. He will focus on growing Consenna’s customer portfolio.
