Police step up presence near murder scene

Police have said there will be a 24-hour presence near the scene of the murder of a 54-year-old woman in Aberdeen.

Margaret Robertson was found in a flat at Promenade Court on Friday.

Area commander Chief Inspector David Howieson sought to reassure residents after the attack.

He said: “I understand that a violent crime of this nature causes significant concerns in the community.”
