Worthy roads

I have recently returned home from traversing the North Coast 500 with my cousin and covered the 970 miles from Inverness to Inverness.

I should like to congratulate Highland Council on the condition of their roads – they were fantastic. No potholes, no broken roads, no roads torn up, but lots of roads with long stretches of completely new surfacing.

Perhaps some councils south of Perth should follow their example of how to care for streets and roads. ROBERT D FLEMING Lammerview,
