300 sign petition seeking bus route extension
Householders in Ladywell West face a 25-minute walk to a bus stop to get access to transport to hospital or shops in Livingston town centre, West Lothian Council Executive has heard.
Christine Rodgers, who walks with the aid of a stick, spoke to this week’s meeting of councillors to plead for an extension to the 31 bus service.
Mrs Rodgers said she had collected 300 signatures on a petition to the council asking for help.
She said: “Most passengers are elderly, others need to use sticks or walking frames.”
