Lapping up the sun: Dogs – and owners – take advantage of better weather to go for a walk

-

The sunny weather in the east of Scotland yesterday saw dogs and their owners taking a walk on a breezy Silverknowes Beach in the northwest of Edinburgh.

The Capital enjoyed a mostly sunny, but extremely windy, day.

Across the water is Barnbougle Castle on the Dalmeny Estate, The building’s history goes back to the 13th century, but the present castle is the result of rebuilding in 1881 by the 5th Earl of Rosebery, who served as Prime Minister from 1894 to 1895.

Visible in the distance behind the castle are the Forth Bridge and the Queensferry Crossing.
